MINH-TAM “TAMMY” TRAN
Tammy Tran is a leading voice among Vietnamese-Americans in the United States. The first Vietnamese-American to attend and graduate from the University of Texas School of Law, clerk for a federal judge, and practice litigation at an international law firm in Texas, she founded the Tammy Tran Law Firm to serve the Asian-American community by giving its members a voice in the American justice system. Tran is also the first Vietnamese-American lawyer to prosecute mass tort litigation. Over the past two decades, Tran has been recognized for her activism inside and outside the courtroom, in matters of broad national consequenceas well as cases of local interest, on behalf of thousands of clients whose cares and causes have been the focus of Tran’s career and life. While her legal abilities have brought her renown, it is Tran’s Christian love and compassion—especially the poor and marginalized—that has defined her life. Her clients have been her cause, but a Christian calling has been her life’s work.
